Ingredients
Directions
1 packet of Quaker Instant Oatmeal2/3 c water1/4 to 1/2 large banana1 tbsp chopped walnutsdash of cinnamondash of nutmegsplash of almond milk (optional)1 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Empty your packet of oatmeal into a microwave-safe bowl. Add 2/3 c. of water and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes. You don't have to use instant oatmeal, just use whatever oatmeal you have at home. That's just what I used for the nutritional info because that's what I always use. This recipe also tastes great using the Quaker Instant Oatmeal with maple & brown sugar.
Cut banana into as many slices as you prefer. I use about 1/3 of a large banana.
Remove bowl from microwave. Add bananas and walnuts. Stir until the banana slices have mixed into the oatmeal. Add a splash of almond milk if you prefer. A small handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips is a nice addition, too. Add a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg, stir, and enjoy!
I did not add almond milk or chocolate chips to the nutritional info, so if you use those you will have to factor them in as well. Don't use too much almond milk or else you'll have really liquidy oatmeal.
