Pumpkin Nut Bread

Ingredients
2C sifted flour2t baking powder1/2t baking soda1t salt1t cinnamon1/2t nutmeg (grind fresh)1C can pumpkin1C sugar1/2C light cream2 eggs1/4C salted butter, softened1C walnuts or pecans, chopped
Directions
In smaller bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt & spices. In larger bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, milk & eggs. Add dry ingredients and softened butter; mix until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in well greased standard 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake in 350f oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Makes one loaf. (12 to 16 half slices) Bread may be frozen with good results.
