hearty vegetable black bean chili with cabbage

Ingredients
1/2 head cabbage, minced3 red onions, minced1 small green pepper, minced1/2 cup celery, chopped1/2 pound ground turkey, venison or lean beef, browned3 cans black beans2 cans tomato & green chilies 2 cans tomato sauce1 cup medium salsa2 T dried chopped garlic1 T chili powder1 tsp cumin
Directions
In food processor, finely mince/chop cabbage, onions, and green peppers. Brown meat. drain in a colander and rinse to remove excess fat. combine all ingredients in slow cooker and heat on low heat until vegetables are tender and flavors blended (4-8 hours)

Cool slightly then divide single servings into zip lock baggies and freeze. Yields approximately 16 one-cup servings.
