1/2 cup warm water1 tsp. sugar3 tsp. bakers yeastmix and let stand for 5-6minutesIn big bowl combine 4 cups warm water2 tbls. sugar1/4 cup crisco shortening4 tsps. salt7 cups multi grain flourapprox. 4 cups white flour
Combine water, yeast and sugar. Let rest for 5-6 minutes. In large bowl combine water, sugar, salt and shortening, mix until most of shortening is melted. Add 7 cups multi grain flour and mix well, mix in yeast mixture, mix until well absorbed. Continue to add white flour until it is not sticky. Take out of bowl and knead for approx. 10 minutes. Put back in bowl and let stand in warm place for 1 hour. Punch down after the hour, and let sit for another hour. Punch down and put in pans. Makes 50-2 ounce rolls or 24 rolls and 3 loaves. Let rest for 2 hours or until double in size. Bake at 375 oven for 30-35 minutes.
