Ingredients
Directions
3 large or 6 small chicken breasts (with bone) (mine weighed just over 2 pounds)1 tsp chili powder3/4 tsp ginger, ground1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp ground cumin seed1/2 c yogurt (I used whole milk organic)3 cloves garlic, chopped1 ounce lemon juice1 tsp sugar equivalent (I used SweetPerfection/oligofructose)
Rinse chicken breasts and place in large plastic zipper bag.
Mix all other ingredients in a small bowl, then add to plastic bag.
Remove as much air as possible and seal bag.
Kneed the bag until all chicken is coated.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
When ready to cook, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place chicken in glass baking dish and bake 30-60 minutes, depending on size of breasts.
You can pour remaining marinade over chicken, but I didn't.
Makes 6 servings.
Calorie calculations are for 58 ounces (with bone) chicken breasts and whole milk yogurt.
