Raisin Oatmeal Bars

1 C golden raisins1/4 C hot water1 1/4 C brown sugar1/3 C soft butter or margarine2 eggs1 tsp. vanilla extract1C flour sifted1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp.baking powder1/2 C quick rolled oats1/2 cup chopped pecans
Combine raisins & hot water and set aside. Beat together sugar, butter, eggs, & vanilla extract until smooth & creamy. Sift flour, salt & baking powder together & stir into batter. Blend in raisin water mixture, then oats & nuts. Spread evenly into a greased 13" x 9" pan. Bake at 350 for 20-22 minutes or until done when tested. Cool in pan. Cut into 24 2 " squares.
