16-oz dried green & yellow split peas, rinsed4 Slices Turkey Bacon, cooked & crumbled1/2 cup diced baby carrots1/2 cup chopped yellow onion2 cloves garlic, minced1 bay leaf6 cups low sodium chicken brothSalt and pepper to taste
Layer ingredients in slow cooker in the order given, adding the broth last. Do not stir ingredients. Cover and cook on high 4-5 hours or on low 8-10 hours until peas are very soft.
