Chex It Out Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares

Ingredients
6 cup corn chex cereal1 cup raisins3/4 cup chocolate chips3/4 cup peanut butter1/2 cup butter1 pkg Large marshmallows 10 ounces1 tsp salt1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Makes 32 squares/rectangles
In a large bowl mix cereal, raisns and chocolate chips.

In a heavy 5 quart pot combine peanut butter and butter. Place over low to edium low heat and stir until melted and well blended. Add marshmallows and salt; stir until melted and well blended. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, Immediately add cereal mixture and and quickly stir until cereal is well coated.
Using lightly buttered spatula, quickly spread mixture evenly and firmly in greased 13 X 9 inch baking pan. Let stand until completely cooled. Make ahead Cover pan with foil and store at room temperature for up to 3 days and then cut into squares.

    didn't have chex so i used rice krispies. used mini choc chips so they melted but the chocolate flavor was great. - 3/27/11

    I made this replacing Corn Chex with Shreddies...only because we don't have Corn Chex in Canada....it is YUMMY!!! My son is very picky and LOVES it...
