Boeuf Bourguignon (Slow Cooker)

410g braising steak, trimmed and chopped3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced2 medium onions, chopped1 tsp salt1 tsp pepper1 tbsp cornflour125ml red wine125ml beef stock1 clove garlic, minced1 tbsp tomato paste1/2 tsp thyme1 bay leaf90g fresh mushrooms
1. Dry fry the steak in a large pan until browned
2. Add vegetables and fry for five minutes, stirring all the time
3. Sprinkle on cornflour and stir well
4. Add wine, beef stock, garlic and tomato paste and bring to boil
5. Add salt, pepper, thyme and bay leaf
6. Transfer to slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours
