Ingredients
Directions
-1 lb lean ground turkey-1 lb lean ground beef-2 large white chopped-2 cups chopped mushrooms-4 cloves garlic minced-1 26.5 oz can Hunts Roasted Garlic & Onion (or your fav sauce, just make sure you use two DIFFERENT types of sauce...it helps with the flavor)-1 26.5 oz can Hunts Zesty & Spicy Spaghetti Sauce -1 can tomato paste-salt and pepper to taste
1. In large sauce pan, heat olive oil and add onion and mushrooms. Brown slightly and then add garlic about 30 seconds before you add the meat. You don't want the garlic to brown.
2. Add meat and mix in with the onion/mushroom mixture while it cooks.
3. When the meat is browned (drain juices if you prefer), add spaghetti sauce and simmer on low heat for about an hour.
4. For last half hour, add the tomato paste and stir until combined.
This makes about 15-20 servings of sauce.
If you want to lower the fat content, use only ground turkey and drain juices before adding spaghetti sauce.
