Chili Black Bean Burgers (Vegan)

.5 tablespoons olive oil1/2 cup chopped red onion1 garlic clove, minced1/2 shredded carrot3/4 teaspoon of chili powder1/2 teaspoon ground cumin1 15oz can of black beans, rinsed and drained1 tablespoon Dijon mustard1 tablespoon soy sauce1 tablespoon ketchup1/2 cup rolled oats
1) Heat the oil over medium heat in a medium skillet. Add the onion and garlic and saute for 3-5 min until the onions soften
2) Add the carrots, chili powder and cumin. Cook on low heat for 5 mins.
3) While that is cooking, mash the black beans in a large bowl. Then add the mustard, soy sauce, ketchup, and sauteed vegetables. Stir in the oats.
4) Form the mixture into 3 patties and cook on medium heat for about 5 min on each side.
