Cabbage Patch Stew

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or turkey or chicken 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix, dry1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped cabbage 1/2 cup chopped celery 1 16oz can stewed tomatoes 1 15 1/2 oz can black beans 1 cup chicken broth1/4 t pepper 1-2 t chili powder
Directions
Cook and stir ground meat in dutch oven until cooked: drain. Add onion mix, cabbage and celery, cook and stir until vegetables are light brown. Stir in tomatoes (undrained), beans, water, salt, pepper and chili powder. Heat to boiling . (Can also simmer several hrs. in crock pot after browning the meat.) If it gets too dry, add a little water.
