Turkey Italian Sausage and Chorizo Chili

Ingredients
1 small onion finely diced.1/2 red or yellow bell pepper finely diced.1Tbsp olive oil1/2 package low fat chorizo about 5 oz.4 spicy or hot Italian turkey sausages (remove from casing) you can use pork sausage if you like.4 garlic cloves minced.1 -Tbsp tomato paste2- 14.5 oz. cans petite diced tomatoes(If you don't like tomato chunks you can use crushed tomatoes).2 -14 0z cans chicken broth low sodium1 -15 oz can black beans (rinsed)1 -15 oz can Cannellini Beans (rinsed) you can use what ever kind of beans you like. just use two cans.1- Tbsp chili powder1 -tsp cumin1 -Tbsp dried oregano1 -tsp ground pepper1- tsp sugar
Directions

In large pot add olive oil, onions, and bell pepper. cook on medium heat for about 5- 8 min until onion is translucent.Then add chorizo,sausage, and garlic. Chopping meat up so it's chunky with spatula cook until browned.Next add tomato paste and stir into meat mixture. Then add tomatoes and chicken broth.let simmer 1/2 hour stir occasionally . Add spices and beans let simmer uncovered until thick about another 45 min. stir occasionally.

If you like top with 2 % cheese and green onions. If you want it a little more spicy we like to add tapatio to our individual bowls.

You can make this chili in the slow cooker too.Just follow recipe cooking the onion ,browning the meat in a skillet and add the tomato paste. Then dump the rest of ingredients with meat mixture into the slow cooker and cook 4-6 hours on high or 6-8 on low.
