Creamy Homestyle Chicken and Noodles

Ingredients
5 chicken drumsticks10 cups water12 oz bag yolk free noodles1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup1 cup julienned carrots1 cup green beans pieces1 small onion, sliced in thin strips
Directions
Boil 5 chicken drumsticks in water to cover until thoroughly cooked. Remove chicken from broth, cook, and remove from bone. Discard skin and bones.

Add cooked chicken back into pot. You may add chicken bullion at this point to increse flavor if broth is too weak.

Add noodles and cream soup. Cook for about 20 minutes. Add veggies and cook 10 minutes more or until noodles are as tender as you'd like.

You may substitue chicken breast meat for the drumsticks, but you'll definitely need to add bullion to the broth for extra flavor or substitute whole wheat or other noodles to add more nutrition.

I serve this with a little crusty whole grain bread and a salad. Serves 6-8.

    Had this for dinner tonight. Easy to make but I was disappointed in the time it took for the "sauce" to thicken. I will add some "spice" next time. A little bland but the family liked it. - 12/16/07
