Whole Wheat Pizza Burgers

Ingredients
12 oz. lean ground beef1/2 C chopped onion1 1/2 C pizza sauce2 C shredded cheddar cheese8 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
Directions
Brown ground beef with onion. Drain any fat (there should be almost none). Stir in pizza sauce. Place buns opened-face on a baking sheet. Spread 1/8 of hamburger mixture onto each bun. Top with 1/8 of cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are toasted.

Makes 8 servings (1 whole bun equals a serving)

Serving suggestion: Top with other favorite pizza toppings like mushrooms, olive, turkey pepperoni or turkey sausage.
