Apple Bars

Ingredients
1/4 cup Butter or margarine1/4 cup Unsweetened applesauce3/4 cup Granulated sugar1 Egg1 cup Whole wheat flour1/2 tsp Baking soda1 tsp Cinnamon1 cup Apples, peeled and chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour 8x8 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, mix melted butter with sugar, applesauce and egg. Mix in flour, baking soda, and cinnamon, and then stir in apple. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until a small knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
