Stewed Fava Beans (Goya)

Ingredients
1/2 lb dry large fava beans1 tbsp olive oil2 scallions, chopped1 clove garlic, minced1 tbsp fresh chopped basil1/4 tsp dried rosemarydash dried crushed red pepper flakes1 cup water1 chicken bouillon cubesalt/pepper to taste
Directions
Sort and rinse beans. Boil 4 cups water in saucepan. Stir in beans. Boil 10 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Peel and discard outer skin; set aside. Heat oil in skillet. Add scallions and garlic. Cook 2 minutes. In large saucepan, stir in beans and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer until beans are tender. Add more water if necessary.
