Chipolte Pepper Black Bean Chili

5 cups cooked black beans (2c. dry)1lb Ground turkey1 1/2 cup chopped onion2 cans Chili ready tomatoes1 pkg taco seasoning1 Sm can Ortega green chilis8 Chipolte peppers in adobo sauce (canned)1/2 cup Cilantro1/2 cup chili powdersalt to taste.
Boil the beans by themselves. Save the liquid.
In a Lrg frying pan combine the ground turkey (I salted it ), chopped onions ( I like them large) cilantro and cook until onions start to get tender. Add the taco seasoning, canned tomatoes & chili powder. Stir together and then add the chipolte peppers, I cut them with a pair of scissors. Let cook together on low for about 10 minutes then add to the pan with Black beans and liquid. I taste until I have the chipolte as hot as we like it, adding more till it is perfect. Simmer for a 1/2 hr on low.
Makes 16 cups.
