Whole Wheat Banana Nut Spice Bread

Ingredients
1/3 C. canola oil1/4 C. honey2 eggs1 C. very ripe bananas, mashed1 tsp. vanilla1 3/4 C. whole wheat flour1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 tsp. nutmeg1/2 tsp. cloves1/4 tsp. allspice1/4 tsp. anisePinch of black pepper1 tsp. baking soda1/4 C. hot water1/2 C. walnuts, chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

In a large bowl, beat oil and honey together. Add eggs, and mix well. Stir in bananas and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt, and spices.

Add baking soda to hot water, stir to mix, and then add to batter. Blend in chopped nuts. Spread batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool on wire rack for 1/2 hour before slicing.
