Pumpkin Chai Syrup

1/4 C pumpkin puree (canned or home cooked)1/2 C sugar (sucanat for calc)1/2 C + 2T water1 tsp cinnamon1 tsp nutmeg (or 1 for stronger)1/4 tsp ground clovespinch of ginger (optional)
Bring ingredients to a boil over medium heat. Keep cooking (stirring frequently) till it's the consistency of maple syrup. Don't overcook or it won't blend well into beverages later. Pour into container and refrigerate.
To use: add syrup and milk to coffee or tea.
