Spanish Rice

Ingredients
Directions
white rice, lean ground beef, onions, green peppers, canned tomatoes, water, salt and pepper to taste
-brown beef in a dutch oven or large skillet, drain off excess fat with hot water by rinsing beef in a strainer.
-return to skillet, add onions, green pepper , saute until tender
-add salt about 1 teaspoon, and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper,
-add rice and tomoatoes, and 1/2 can of water,
- bring to the boil then lower heat to medium-low
-cover skillet
-simmer on medium low heat ,stirring ocaisionally to prevent sticking and burning, for about 30 minutes or until rice is tender
serves 4 adults
