Cinnamon Spice Apple Butter

5 medium apples (sweet apples)1 cup unsweetened apple juice2 Tablespoons water2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon1/2 cup packed brown sugar1/8 teaspoon ground cloves1/8 teaspoon nutmeg1/4-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract pinch of salt
1) Core and slice apples and put them in the crock pot (do not peel)
2) Pour the liquids and spices over the apples
3) Stir together to evenly coat the apples
4) Cook on low heat for 15 hours
5) After cooking, turn the crock pot off and let cool for about an hour
6) Pour everything into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth
7) If you would like the consistency to be thicker, pour into a skillet and simmer until desired consistency is achieved.
