8 oz. Green Beans (snapped), ends removed2 med. Carrots, raw, sliced into strips ~2" long1 med. Onion, sliced in 1/2 rounds8 oz. fresh Mushrooms, sliced1/8 tsp. pepper, black1/4 tsp. Garlic powder1/8 cup Margarine2 Tblsp. Olive Oil
In 2 qt. saucepan, heat 1" water Add beans and carrots Cover and simmer until almost tender (about 12 minutes). Meanwhile, saute onions and mushrooms in large pan in 1 tblsp. olive oil and margarine until onions are slightly browned (about 5 minutes). Reduce heat, add drained beans and carrots and seasonings. Cover and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes. Makes 6 1/2 cup servings.
