French Onion Soup

Ingredients
6 cups thinly sliced onion1 tbsp sugar1 tsp black pepper1/3 c olive oil2 tbsp worcester sauce5 cups beef broth1 cup white wine
Directions
place onions, sugar, oil and pepper in stock pot. Cook about 20 minutes or until onions carmelized.
add broth, worcester sauce and wine.
boil 15 minutes.
place 1/2 slice bread in each of 4 ovenproof bowls.
ladle soup over bread.
top with slice if cheese.
broil briefly, just until cheese golden and bubbly
