Grandma's Applesauce Cookies

1 Stick unsalted butter, softened1 cup granulated sugar1 egg1 cup unsweetened applesauce1/2 tsp. Mortons Lite Salt1 tsp. ground cinnamon1 tsp. ground cloves1 tsp. ground nutmeg2 cups flour1 tsp. baking soda
In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar and egg. In another bowl, mix together the applesauce, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Add this mixture to the creamed butter mixture. Then add in the flour and baking soda.
Let batter rest in a cool place for awhile. Drop by spoonfuls on to a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes, or until bottoms of cookies are a golden brown.
Optional: Add 1 cup of raisins to finished batter.
