Marinara Sauce

3 tbsp. olive oil3 garlic gloves, chopped1 c. chopped raw onions1 6oz. can tomato paste1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes1 packet beef bouillon powder2 c. water2 tbsp dry basil3 bay leaves1 c. parmesan cheese
In large saucepan, sautee garlic and onions in olive oil over medium heat until transparent. Add tomato paste and mix garlic and onions into paste and let sit for a few minutes - until mixture is glistening. Add beef bouillon, basil, bay leaves and water. Mix together. When mixture comes to a boil, add crushed tomatoes and salt. stir. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and let sit for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. After about 40 minutes, taste. Add spices as you feel are necessary. If you like it saltier, add more salt. If you like it with a bit more of a basil taste, add more basil. If you feel the mixture is too thick, add more water. Reduce heat to low and add in all parmesan cheese. Cover and let sit for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
