1 onion chopped3 to 4 cloves of garlic3 cans clams (i use 2 cans baby clams and 1 chopped ocean clams)basil leaves - as much or as little as you like choppedsalt and pepper
saute onions and garlic in olive oil
add clams
simmerto heat through and meld flavours (approx 10 minutes)
add some salt and pepper to tast
stir in fresh basil when ready to serve.
