They are also good if you supstitue the chocolate chips with white chocolate chips...and I add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. HMMMM! And they also work better if they are made as muffins... - 11/20/09

Why are these supposedly healthy recipes using box mixes that are full of chemical ingredients and hydrogenated fats??? - 10/7/13

I liked them better with additional spices: 1/2 tsp allspice; 1 tsp cinnamon; and 1/2 tsp nutmeg. Next time, I'll try using the pumpkin pie mix instead of the plain pumpkin. - 10/29/11

These are really good and EASY! I made the first pan and then decided to add Wheat Germ and Flax Seed. Delish! Thanks for the great recipe! - 12/13/09

These are really good! Make sure you mix them up well. They are yummy right out of the oven. Not too "spicy tasting" and not too "pumpkin tasting". They are cake-like, small and easy to get your "sweet fix" with few calories. I made smaller cookies and cut the calories even further to 45 calories. - 2/24/09

They were awful. I was very disappointed. My son and husband didn't like them either. - 7/2/08

These are a whole lot higher in calories then this. Just the pumpkin and cake mix made into muffins are 93 calories. With the choc. chips it would bring it even higher. - 6/24/11

I needed to make some quick and simple cookies for a funeral, so I made these. These are pretty good, and I did add cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Normally I wouldn't make cookies with a cake mix, but it was nice that I didn't have to put in more sugar than what is already in the ingredients. - 2/16/19

Delicious! Really easy to whip up and bake. No measuring needed really. So soft and delicious! I made 72 smaller cookies with this recipe. That's only 40 calories per cookie! Thanks so much for posting this. - 9/20/18

These are just like the easy pumpkin muffins that are out there just chocolate chips added instead as well as put on cookie sheet instead of muffin pan. - 11/22/15

Great recipe! Cheap, easy, quick. I did white chocolate chips with a little bit of ground cinnamon. Delish! - 10/26/12

These are really good.. but they are not really a cookie texture. I made a similar recipe into mini muffins once, using a chocolate cake mix and the canned pumpkin & chocolate chips. I will definitely make these spice cake ones again, but will make them into mini muffins - 3/19/12

this recipe is not a "keeper." Texture was too "cakey." When cooked for 12 minutes using a oven thermometer for accuracy the cookies were raw. At 16 minutes they were cooked, but still unpleasant in texture. - 11/21/10
