Hamburger Vegetable Soup with Barley

Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef1/2 onion, chopped2 quarts stewed tomatoes1 10-oz package frozen mixed vegetables1/2 cup quick-cooking barleySalt & pepper or other seasonings to taste
Directions
Brown ground beef and onions. Drain grease and rinse. Add tomatoes and barley and bring to a simmer. Add vegetables and seasonings and simmer until vegetables are tender, approximately 20 minutes.

This works great in the Crock Pot as well.
