1 cup steel cut oats4 cups water1 apple, finely chopped1 ounce pecans, toasted6 teaspoons brown sugar
The night before, put oats and water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Cook for one minute, then remove from heat and cover. Let stand overnight.
In the morning, warm the oats over medium heat. Meanwhile, chop the apple and toast and chop the pecans. Serve each bowl with 2 teaspoons brown sugar.
