Ingredients
Directions
1 lb lean ground beef (turkey or chicken would work just as well)1/2 small onion, diced1 packet taco seasoning mix (I used Old El Paso)1 can refried beans6 hamburger buns
Brown ground beef with onion in nonstick skillet. Once it is cooked, add taco seasoning mix. I usually put about half a packet of water into this mix. Let simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
While beef is cooking, put refried beans in saucepan. I usually add a little bit of water and about a tablespoon of cumin to them. After everything is cooked, I put about a tablespoon of refried beans on the bottom bun and top with taco meat. You can add shredded cheese, fat-free sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and salsa! I normally put about a couple tablespoons of beans on the side as well.
Makes about 6 sandwiches - enjoy!
