Stephenie's Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 c butter at room temp.3/4 c sugar1 c brown sugar2 eggs at room temp.1 tsp vanilla2 3/4 c whole wheat flour1/2 c flaxseed meal3/4 tsp salt3/4 tsp baking soda3/4 c rolled oats2 c chocolate chips
Cream butter & sugars for about 3 min. Add eggs and vanilla and mix a few more minutes. In a separate bowl mix together flour, flax, salt, and baking soda. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and beat for 3 - 4 minutes. Add rolled oats and chocolate chips and stir by hand to combine. Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 for 12 min. Let cool a few minutes and then transfer to cooling rack. Makes about 5 dozen cookies that are around 100 calories each.
