1 lb. Honeysuckle Italian Turkey Sausage Links1 large green pepper, chopped2 medium onion, chopped2 cloves garlic, chopped1 tsp. fennel seeds1 tblsp. basil1 tsp. McCormick Italian seasoning2 cans Hunt's diced tomatoes with basil, garlic & oregano, low sodium1 box Swanson's beef broth, low sodium, about 4 cups8 oz. tomato sauce, low sodium3 tbsp. tomato paste2 1/2 cups of Barilla Plus Rotini8 tbsp. shredded parmesan cheese
Put sausage in a large saucepan and cook until no longer pink. While cooking, add the green pepper and onion. When meat mixture is ready, add the spices, tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add rotini and cook for additional 10-12 minutes. Makes 8 services, 1 1/4 cups each. Top each serving with 1 tbsp. of shredded parmesan cheese.
