Grandma's famous Angel Food Cake

make cake as directed
cool
to cut into 1 to 2 layers.
chill bowl and beaters
whip 2 cups of heavy whipping cream (a little powdered sugar and vanilla to make whipping cream)
soften 1 tsp gelatin in 1 tbsp water
dissolve until clear over hot water
stir into 1 cup thick jam chill
when partially set fold in 1 cup of the whipped cream spread between layers
frost with the rest of whipped cream, I like to decorate with edible flowers
