brittany's famous potato soup

Ingredients
6 large potatoes1/2 large onion1 lb bacon1/2 lb cheddar cheese1/2 gallon milk2 sticks butterfloursaltpepper
Directions
Fry the bacon while boiling the potatoes. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Sautee the onion until tranparent and then add flour while stirring until it becomes a paste. Remove from heat. Add about two cups of milk slowly. Heat on low and continue to add milk as it thickens. Shred 1/2 lb of cheddar cheese. Pepper white sauce heavily. Crumble bacon. Pour sauce over potatoes. Add cheese and bacon. Heat through. Salt to taste only after done. Add more milk to reheat. Makes about 8 large servings.
