Crockpot Oatmeal with Apples

Ingredients
# 2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced# 1/3 C. brown sugar# 4 C. water# 2 C. old fashioned uncooked oatmeal# 2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions
# Mix brown sugar and cinnamon with apple slices,
# coating apples. Mix oatmeal with water. Put apples in bottom of crockpot and pour oatmeal mix on top.
# DO NOT STIR. Cover and cook on low (8-9 hours). In morning, stir thoroughly. Serve with milk and additional brown sugar.

    I made this for breakfast at work. For me, it was very bland. However, I did not add anything to it when I ate. My co-workers were pleased with it. One added syrup and really liked it. Another added salt & pepper and liked it. Most likely you have to add to it and it is good. - 11/27/11
