This is really closer to what the ingredients are than the dang calculator... I ain't got time to add some of the ingredients, so I just went with the 'horshoe' method. If it's close... it counts. 2 cups cracked wheat (bulghur)2 cups very hot water1 cucumber, chopped2 small tomatoes, chopped1 bunch green onions, (8) sliced1/2 cup fresh chopped mint 2 cups fresh chopped parsley1 clove garlic, minced (optional)Lemon Juice Dressing:1/2 cup fresh lemon juice3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil1 tablespoon pepper2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
Put the cracked wheat in the hot water until one of two things happen. Either the wheat soaks up all the water, or you remember what you were doing. Either way, don't let the clock get in the way of your cooking. If you must time it, figure it will take about the same time as a normal inning, quarter, or three holes of golf.
Mix the lemon juice, oil, pepper, and salt in another bowl.
When the wheat stuff is ready, pour the lemon juice dressing on top of it and stir it up real good. Put it in the fridge for a while.
When the gals come over, open up the fridge and say 'I made you something!'
They'll either love it, or they'll figure you're too much in touch with your feminine side and won't bother coming over anymore. Either way… you win.
