Mama Rosa's Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
2- 5.5 oz cans of tomato paste (preferably plum tomatoes)1 28 oz can diced plum tomatoes1 tblsp olive oil1 tblsp Italian seasoning (or basil or oregano)2-3 bay leaves3 1/2 cups water1 tsp fresh ground pepper
Directions
Saute garlic in oil in large pan over medium heat. Add tomato paste and seasoning, stir and cook for 1 minute. Add canned tomatoes, water, pepper and bay leaves and let simmer for 1 hour or more, stirring occasionaly.
