Fall Turkey Chili

Ingredients
Ground Turkey, lean, 16 oz Peppers, sweet, red, raw, diced, 2 cup *Hot Chili Peppers, 4 pepper, diced Onions, raw, 2 cup, chopped Garlic, 6 cloves, minced Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped Chicken Broth, 2 cup (8 fl oz) Beans, black, 2 cup Red Ripe Tomatoes, 1 cup, chopped Mushrooms, fresh, 1 cup, pieces or slices Thyme, fresh, 3 tsp Ginger Root, grated, 2 tsp Cinnamon, ground, 1 tbsp Basil, 1 tbsp *Pepper, ancho, dried, powdered, 1 pepper Olive Oil, 3 tbsp
Directions
In a large soup pot:
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent.
In a separate pan, brown ground turkey, drain, and add to pot.
Add peppers and carrot, saute until soft.
Add tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, heat until warmed and soft.
Add chicken stock, brown sugar, and spices.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes to 1 hour, the longer the better.
Makes 8 healthy servings.
Serve with crusty bread, grated cheddar cheeze, sliced olives.
