1 (1 pound, 882g) Can Pumpkin2/3 Cup Shortening2 2/3 Cup Granulated Sugar4 Eggs2/3 Cup Water 3 1/3 Cups Flour2tsp Baking Powder1tsp Salt1tsp Cinnamon1tsp Ground Cloves1oz Chopped Pecans3tsp Brown Sugar
1. Pre Heat oven to 350
2. Grease & flour 2 9X5in loaf pans.
3. In large bowl cream shortening & sugar until fluffy.
4. Stir in eggs, pumpkin & water.
5. In smaller separate bowl blend flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon & cloves. Mix well.
6. Add the flour mixture to the pumpkin mixture.
7. Pour evenly into loaf pans & sprinkle with the pecans & brown sugar.
8. Bake for 1 hour & 10 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean.
