Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
1 14 oz bag Dried Split Peas1 cup Carrots, chopped1 medium Onion, diced2 cloves of Garlic, diced6 cups Chicken Broth1 Bay leafSalt and pepper to taste
Directions
Place all of the ingredients into a heavy bottomed pot and bring to a boil. Lower heat to medium, cover pot and simmer stirring occasionally for 45 minutes to an hour. Remove from heat and use a immersion blender to combined the ingredients into a smooth consistency.
