Nana's Cast Iron Pan Fried Hash Browns

Ingredients
12 raw russet potatoes 1 cup raw onions chopped Dash of saltDash of pepper2 stick of butter (can use margarine for lower fat)1 tablespoon of garlic powder
Directions
1.Take 12 raw russet potatoes and bake at 375 in their skins until done.
2. Let cool until can be handled.
3. While waiting for potatoes to cool use one stick butter in a pre-heated cast iron pan.
4, Sauté onions in pan
5, Cut each in half then scoop the contents into a heated buttered cast iron pan.
6.Add salt and pepper to taste
7. Add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
Stir constantly to blend in when needed add 2nd stick of butter.
8. Cook until the ingredients are well blended about ten minutes.
