Whole Wheat Chocolate Pancakes

2 cups whole wheat flour ( we use soft white whole wheat )2 tsp baking powder1 tsp salt1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder ( we use dark cocoa)2 medium eggs ( one large would have been enough)1 tblspn olive oil1 1/2 cup 2% milk ( you may need to add half a cup of water depening on how this you like your pancakes, these were quite thick)8 tblspn Mini chocolate chips (topping)
Mix dry ingredients together, start stove as you normally would for pancakes. I always set my gas stove on 3 out of 10. Put skillet on stove, spray with nonstick spray or brush with a bit of oil, if you have nonstick then skip this step. In a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry. Batter should be a little lumpy. Use a 1/3 measuring cup to measure your batter into the pan. Flip when edges have set. Remove from pan onto plate, top with chocolate chips. Serve warm.
