Oatmeal Breakfast Bar

Ingredients
1 egg1 tsp baking powder1/2 cup margarine, melted1 cup brown sugar or 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1 Tbsp molasses2 cups rolled oats (not instant)1/2 cup toasted wheat germ2/3 cup 100% fruit spread or 1 cup dried fruit
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. If using granulated sugar and molasses: Combine in a small bowl. Mix until consistency of brown sugar.
2. Combine all but jam in a bowl.
3. Press 1/2 (about 2 cups) of mixture into a greased 9x9 pan. Top with jam. Press remaining mixture on top of jam.
4. Bake 20-40 mins.
Makes 12 bars.
