Dried Rosemary1/4 Tsp dried red pepper flakes1/2 tsp. ground black pepper2 cups water (My slow cooker runs extra hot, so I need this much water to prevent scorching. Use less for a normal slow cooker.)

I'm going to make this recipe tomorrow but I am going to use chicken broth instead of water because I think it will give a much richer, and I have NEVER made anything in my slow cooker that took more than 8 hours, so I think the 10 hour cooking time is a bit much. I will get back and let you know. - 5/3/19

Made yesterday and it was excellent. I agree that you need to cut back on the water. I wouldn't even add 1/2 cup next time. There will be a next time. - 3/20/11

Thanks so much for the tip. I have edited the recipe to note that less water is best if your slow cooker doesn't run hot, which mine does.
