shrimp Jambalaya

Ingredients
1/3 cup chopped celery1/4 cup chopped onion1/4 cup chopped green peppers2 tbs margarine or butter1 14oz can diced tomatoes1 1/2 cup chicken broth2/3 cup long grain rice1 tsp dried basil or thyme1 tsp garlic1/4 tsp pepper1/4-1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce1 bay leaf40 medium raw shrimp
Directions
in large skillet cook celery, onion and green pepper in butter till tender but not brown.
stir in tomatoes, chicken broth, hot pepper sauce, uncooked rice, basil or thyme, garlic, pepper and bay leaf.
boil. reduce heat and simmer about 20 min or until rice is tender.
stir in meat. heat through.
discard bay leaf and serve.
