I cut the water back to 1/2 cup and added a 1/4 cup of red wine (it was 1/4 less liquid than called for). I used Balsamic Vinegar and Brown sugar instead of white. I also added some celery stalks for extra flavor...I replaced Garlic Powder with Fresh Garlic- 2 crushed cloves. We enjoyed it. - 6/10/10

This was excellent! I did not have any red wine vinegar on hand so I substitued cider vinegar. Yum! Definitely a keeper! - 10/13/08

Delicious. The whole family enjoyed the recipe. I would add more carrots next time because they were quickly eaten. I might also reduce the amount of sugar. I think it would taste the same. - 3/27/08

I was short on time so I opted not to do the pork chops in the slow cooker and did it in the oven instead. Yum, yum! They came out full of flavor, juicy and only took about 45 mins to cook. I also added some carrotts to the bake with some mash potatoes on the side. DELICIOUS! - 9/2/10

Will leave out the hot peppers because it made the dish too spicy for me. - 5/30/08

I made this and everyone loved it. Instead of using the clow cooker or crock pot, I covered and cooked in the oven. Served with an array of fresh raw vegetables and galic seasoned boiled potatoes, it made a great dinner. - 4/10/08

Great recipe!! I didn't add sugar, but added about 1/4 c. agave nectar instead. It cooked all day and shredded easily at the end, and we served it as sandwiches. Yummy! - 3/24/09

I made this last night and we are all in agreement this was incredible. Extremely moist and very flavorful. No need to add anything. Served with mased potatoes and broccoli. - 3/2/09

This was wonderful!! I didn't add any hot sauce though (purely because I didn't have any in the house) but I did everything exactly the same and it was fabulous. I'll definitely make it again! My fiancé loved it! - 9/11/08

I put a layer of sliced sweet potato over the onions and omitted the carrots. You can also use 1/2 cup of beer instead of the vinegar. It's good. - 8/17/10

Awesome! I love this recipe. I used Dry Sherry instead of the wine vinegar b/c that is what I had. So easy and the aroma is wonderful. Thanks! - 1/12/09

I have a family of 6 adults, and it is very difficut to find something everyone likes. In this I found it...!!! Even for the most picky. The only change I made, I used SWEET Onions in place of the onion. WOW WAS AWESOME!!!! - 3/1/08

I just made this in my small slow-cooker with a small pork roast. (about 1 lb) . This was my 1st time using the slow-cooker so I might have to do some adjustments. The meat was tender, but not so tasty. I had to thicken the sauce with corn starch. It was good after that. - 1/20/08
