4 cups water1 1/3 cups steel cut oats2 teaspoons maple flavoring1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
Put oats and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat and stir in brown sugar and flavoring. CooK about 15 - 20 minutes, stirring often, until thickened. I pour it into my refrigerator dish until full, cover it and refrigeate. The remainder I pour into a bowl and eat. When chilled, it sets up fairly solid and can be cut into 4 servings for the next four days.
