Basic Marinara

Ingredients
4 tbsp / .25 C olive oil1 medium white onion, minced4 cloves garlic, finely minced1 can (28oz) crushed tomatoesPinch of red pepper flakes
Directions
Heat olive oil over medium-low heat
Add onion & cook for 10-12 minutes
Add garlic & cook for 2-4 minutes
Add red pepper flakes
Add crushed tomatoes & cook, stirring, for 20 minutes

Cook pasta in heavily salted water. Save .5 c pasta water after draining. Toss pasta with water and sauce. Serve with shaved Parmesan.
