Almond Cherry cookies

2 cups flour2 cups finely ground almonds1/4 cup honey1 t vanillia flavoring2 cups softened butter1/2 t salt18 maraschino cherries cut in half
Combine butter and honey, add ground almonds and mix well. Add salt and vanilla and mis well. Slowly add the flour into a firm dough. Shape the dough into 1" balls. Cut the cherries in half. Place the cookie balls on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Press half a cherrie into each cookie ball, this will squash the cookie into a disk with a cherry in the center. Bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes.
